🥃Suntory Whisky Toki is a vivid blend of carefully selected whiskies from the House of Suntory’s globally acclaimed Hakushu, Yamazaki, and Chita distilleries.

Color: Light Straw

Nose: As we let the whisk(e)y settle, we’re gently greeted with a smooth vanilla. This slides into hints of crisp green apple cinnamon, and zesty orange peel. If we go deeper into this whisk(e)y, we find a hint of dried earthy🍃 tea on the finish.

Palate: We’re bombarded with subtle hints of vanilla, crushed almonds, an earthy tea☕️, with a hint of peach🍑. Like most traditional Japanese, the malty note is certainly clear and present in the palate more so than the nose.

Finish: Crushed almonds and vanilla slide down the soft palate. Malt notes rest to the outer left and right of the palate while a sweet spice lightly burns our soft palate like the embers of a dying bonfire🔥 belonging to a summer’s night.

This is definitely an excellent call for an easy to drink day to day whisk(e)y. It’s approachable and a prime choice for starting out in the world of Japanese🇯🇵whiskies. Cheers Socialites. 🥃

Color: Autumn Amber🍁

Nose: We breathe in slowly and steadily to inhale a savory, rich maraschino cherry. The finish of the nose bleeds into a creamy vanilla🍦. This one promises a dessert on the palate.

Palate: On the first sip, the palate fires off peppery flakes on rapid fire🔥 . It wants you to know it’s a clear cut rebel with that spice. Upon our second approach we’re greeted with corky charred oak, planting the stake as the primary flavor of this bourbon. It rests on the outer palate like a horseshoe soaking in the inhales of the finish. The promise from the nose was certainly paid in full with the peppery spice notes. It resides for a long finish on the tip of the palate.

Finish: While the maraschino cherry 🍒 seeps down our soft palate into a cherry cough drop, the oaky char lingers and grabs his spicy friend on their way out the door. Both are in tune and balance, even sharing the same long finish as they tip their caps farewell.

This was a fun bourbon to savor into a late evening. One would look forward to this whisk(e)y on an enjoyable summer evening with fellow socialites. It’d pair beautifully with a rich savory bbq dish. Cheers! 🥃
