Feel Good Friday! Meet Jon! Jon is a United States Army veteran that suffered a TBI, among other serious injuries, while deployed. Jon loves music and has been working diligently to increase his fine motor skills to play various instruments such as cello, piano and now guitar! Thanks to @thechordbuddy , we were able to adapt the guitar to not only work on fine motors, but also memory recall for chord patterns using the corresponding colors. With Thanksgiving rapidly approaching, we wanted to share this thankfulness-theme lullaby written by one of our music therapists! 🙏🏼 We know that lullaby-assisted bonding experiences are highly effective, but also the message that can be sent to littles ones is crucial❕ In this lullaby you will notice two very important lyrics: “No matter what you do, I’m thankful for you” - Children often experience shame and embarrassment when they do something wrong.
