Nice to meet you!
Meet Bonnie Hawk We were lucky to catch up with Bonnie Hawk recently and have shared our conversation below. Bonnie, appreciate you joining us today. It’s easy to look at a business or industry as an outsider and assume it’s super profitable – but we’ve seen over and over again in our conversation with folks...
Maryland Cuteness Alert. These handmade mallets are live in my online pop-up-shop for the holidays. Solid maple & walnut, joined with a wedged tenon. You simply won't find a better-made mallet. Each is one of a kind. $33/each or $160 for the set of four with a wall mount. BYO...OB.

Just finished up these Paralette Bars in hard maple, for someone who wants to take their headstands and push ups to the next level. Happy Fall! 🍁
Cat’s Paw Headboard in cherry. Sometimes a board of wood is so beautiful, you just hang it on a wall and call it a headboard.
Gorgeous quilt by Jane Scott.
Theirs and Theirs Shaker tables in cherry and walnut. These cuties are for sale! Message me if you’re interested.
I’ve always loved the simplicity of Shaker furniture, as well as niche peaceable religious groups. ;-)
I was honored to blog my first article for Fine Wood Working Magazine in March! If a trip to the lumber yard is in your future, read on!
A beginner walks into a lumberyard - FineWoodworking Learn the basics of visiting a lumber store: how to talk about wood, select a board, understand thickness in quarters, and save on milling services.
The etc dresser, named for my grandmother Elisabeth Thorn Coleman, who always signed her name with those gorgeous initials. This piece is a tribute to the ash tree and the many ways to work its wood. Convex, bent-laminated drawers contrast with concave, hand-woven doors. The solid wood case sits atop turned legs from a beaver-felled backyard tree. With a glimmer of hope for the future of the beautiful ash tree.

Delighted to join the community of Maryland women-business owners with the launch of my custom furniture business.
Woodworking has been a lifelong passion, and since there's nowhere else to put furniture in my own home, I'd love to build a piece for you!
A workbench is the bedrock of any woodshop, so may this walnut & ash beauty be a steady support for all the new work to come.
