When asked what she enjoys most about her career she responded:

“I wanted to be an occupational therapist when I was a sophomore in high school. It has been a great career choice for me as I enjoy helping folks return to their activities of daily living. There is satisfaction in watching them progress and regain their independence. I have been a OT now for 28 years and I would pick the same path if I had to do it all over again"

Let's play some PICKLEBALL!

This fast-growing sport is skyrocketing in popularity! As with any physical activity, injuries can occur, so how can we prevent or minimize the risk of injury while playing this fun game?

Last Wednesday, our therapists Beverly and Tobi had the opportunity to share some strategies on injury prevention at the YMCA of Hagerstown. Our attendees (or shall we say Pickleball players!) had the opportunity to ask some great questions and engage with our therapists on correct paddle holding, body posture, and proper stretching.
