This past weekend I got to do a special kind of event, I got to do hair and makeup for my mom. She got to plan the perfect surprise for my dad and got their vows renewed.

For a little back story when my parents got married they had a very simple and gorgeous wedding reception. My mom had a fancy white rodeo shirt with her hair and makeup all done. My dad has never seen her in a wedding dress and my mom wanted to do something so special for their 15th wedding anniversary.

After lots of thinking and planning, my mom decided to surprise my dad with a vow renewal and got to wear that big white dress! It took a lot of coordination from my brother and his girlfriend but it turned out to be a gorgeous day! And the rain skipped past us!!

Of course getting ready photos are my favorite ❤️

We've been in the business for years!!!! Ready for some tips to make your morning the best????

WATTERRR- We see it ladies, we have sometimes too much fun during the rehearsal. As everyone should! Start your morning with a glass of water and make sure to stay hydrated in between those Mimosas!!!🍾🍾

Skincare!!!- Ladies don't skip your skincare the night and morning of!!

Steaming the dresses!!- This is a huge thing I see almost at EVERY WEDDING!!! Services get started and once someone has finished their services they start steaming dresses!!! Based on the timeline designate one or even two people to steam dresses BEFORE their hair or makeup are done. Steaming the dresses when your hair is done will cause your curls to fall and your hair to become frizzy!!

Alright all of my Brides To Be!! Lets talk skin and hair! We want YOU to look your absolute best and taking some extra preparation for your Hair AND your Skin!!

So lets start with Skin! A lot of people including myself, hear skincare routine and freeze at the thought of all the steps and products that we see on social media and big stores.

Let me tell you ladies you do not need all the steps and products that you see all over social media. Is all the steps and products great? Yes, they truly do make a difference in your skin but I am here to tell you if you do not want to do all of it you don't have too.

So let's start! In my personal opinion these are the most important things to skin care.

Firstly you need to know what kind of skin that you have. Dry and flaky? Oily skin, Combination (which normally consists of an oily T-Zone and dry area in the other. Or normal skin. With this knowledge you will now what specific brands will work well with your skin.

Facial Cleanser should be used morning and night.

Facial exfoliant.- This should be used once a week or once every 2 weeks based on skin type.

Moisturizer- This product should be used morning and night. This product can be the same product that you use morning or night or two different moisturizers that is specified for morning and night use. When using the same product for morning and night you want to make sure int he mornings that you are using a product that contains SPF.

Under eye Moisturizer- This product should also be used morning and night. Using this product will help the makeup lay better and not crease as much.

Acne spot treatment should be used for small breakouts and if you suffer with more widespread breakouts you will want to use Acne product lines for the other specified products!
