Payne Trucking was founded in 1971 in Brandy, Virginia by Daniel E. The small dump truck company grew steadily, enjoying the boost that came with the industry deregulation of the 1970s and the timely decision to add a van division to the business. This continued expansion soon included a successful brokerage division and a small storage division. It also necessitated the need for a larger facility

Wednesday was another fun day handing out grab bags, giveaway prizes from our many drawings, and Chick-Fil-A box lunches to our drivers! Huge shout out to Coleman’s Towing for sponsoring Chick-Fil-A to help show appreciation for the best drivers out there. Today we wrap up Truck Driver Appreciation week with a food truck sponsored by Payne Trucking. Can’t wait to see all our drivers back on the yard this afternoon!

Starting at 4:30 this morning we had the privilege of handing out coffee & donuts to our drivers as part of Truck Driver Appreciation week. Did you know truck drivers are often up way before the sun making deliveries? Be sure to thank a truck driver this week and every week for all they do to keep this country moving!
Special shout out to the Payne Trucking Safety Team for sharing in what our drivers do every day (waking up so early!!) and serving them to help show our gratitude for all they do!

Truck Driver Appreciation is NEXT WEEK, September 10th-16th, and we are soooo excited! We are going to have grab bags, giveaways, and food all week long for our amazing drivers. Monday we'll have Mission BBQ, Wednesday is Chick-Fil-A, and Friday we will have the “Family Food Palace” food truck! And don’t forget, Thursday morning we’ll be out there early with coffee and donuts for our Drivers before they head off the yard for the day. It’s going to be a great week celebrating our Payne Trucking Drivers!

This week we had the privilege of celebrating a monumental accomplishment as Mary Drew reached her 30-year anniversary here at Payne Trucking! We are so grateful for the many years Mary has dedicated to our accounting department. We pulled off a surprise celebration with food, cake, and balloons— because 30 years cannot go unappreciated! As a testament to how treasured Mary is, Danny Payne presented her with a check covering the remainder of her mortgage. Thank you, Mary Drew, for everything you do, and how you have inspired us all, Happy 30th Work Anniversary!
