First time back in the judge's chair in nine months. I didn't realize how much I missed it.
I'm often asked what is my favorite thing about powerlifting. That's an easy answer, the people I've met and the friends I've made along the way.
I decided to step out of my comfort zone. I've always wanted to do a WRPF meet so I pulled the trigger.

The aftermath of my meet last Saturday. I wasn't lying when I said I tweaked my lat.

All I can say is "Holy S**t." As the country's foremost expert on knee sleeves I give these a 10 out of 10. I have the Inzers, Iron Rebel PR's and Titan TKS. None of them come close to the stiffness of these. They're also extremely dense and long. Do yourself a favor, get a pair.
Sometimes you just need some added motivation and inspiration. As of today, I have the number #1 squat in the United States for my age and weight class in 2023. Now if I can just get my bench to not suck.π€£π€£
Meets will come and go. Records are made to be broken. We all have an expiration date. I love this journey but the most important thing is the friendships I've made along the way.

Saw all my homies are competing so I decided to step up. I'm doing "Bench Only" to stay fresh for for the .pl America's Championship in October. LFG!!π₯π₯
Since I became a judge with the .pl in 2021, my goal has been to achieve National Judge status. Mission accomplished.

Want to build a big squat? Box squats are the way. Maintain proper form throughout the lift. Pause at the bottom, without rocking back like you're sitting in a chair, and explode up. These were performed off of a 14 inch box. 365 x 1
