She rarely does walk-ins but wants to fill this gap.She's been collecting bird references for a while now, and these are some of the species that she's never done or only done once. If you can not make it tomorrow, email her directly through the shop's email, and she may be able to squeeze in one or two on a weekday.

Brad will be doing walk-ins today until 6 pm! It's a first come, first served basis. Please call ahead to see where you would be in the queue.

Human Canvas has on staff 3 and a half artists, our apprentice is almost there, on staff.

Two of which are severely at risk when exposed to illness.

Brad, our owner, suffers from an long standing heart condition and often has to suffer without medication when ill, as it can worsen his condition to use meds that increase blood pressure and elevate heart rates. He also has children that would be put at risk.

Angelina has severe asthma and gets sick very easily. Add illness to an already fragile respiratory system, and you have a recipe for an artist out of the shop for at least a week. She also has children that could be put at risk.

We say all this to say that if you or anyone in your home is ill, please keep those germs at home and not here in the shop. We understand that sometimes our clients have to deal with a wait for their appointment but coming in sick for that appointment puts more people at risk as well as potentially makes a weeks worth of appointments get rescheduled instead of one.

So please let's all remember the lessons we learned during the pandemic.

If you are sick, stay home. Call us. We will work with you to rebook as soon as possible when you are well.

She has started the last phase of her apprenticeship and needs volunteers for tattoos.

BIG NEWS EVERYONE!

After 10 years at our 521 Jefferson Davis Hwy location, we have decided to find a new home.

Human Canvas has gone through many changes since its inception, but with this decade coming to a close we have chosen to evolve and move on to bigger an better things, finding ourselves a new place to call home!

We will officially reopen on Saturday, January 13th, at 10:00 am, and you can find us at

4412 Lafayette Blvd.
Fredericksburg, VA 22408

Now, if you type this address into Google, it will still come up as a previous business. Fear not! We do indeed call this quaint building our new home.

We look forward to seeing everyone in the new spot and starting out 2024 with a bang!
