The Former Texas Rangers Association and Foundation are membership organizations.
The Former Texas Rangers Association is a membership organization for former Texas Rangers, their familiies and descandents. The Former Texas Rangers Foundation is a membership organization for individuals of good character that support the Texas Rangers and promote the true history of the organization.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thurman "TJ" Yancey on Friday, September 9, 2022. He was born April 14, 1941 and lived in Kerrville.
TJ was a member and strong supporter of both the FTRF and FTRA. He and Ann were big supporters and rode in parades representing FTRA and FTRF in an old paddy wagon he built. He was a member of the Rising Star Lodge #429.
Arrangements being handled by Kerrrville Funeral Home (830-895-5111). Services are pending and we will forward the information when we have it.

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Senior Ranger Captain H.R. “Lefty” Block, early on 19Aug2022. Arrangements for his service are pending. Texas has lost a great man! (Lefty is 2nd on Left, along with members of the FTRF). UPDATE: Lefty’s service will on Friday, August 26th, at the Texas Rangers Heritage Center at 10:30am.
