Have you met Katie?

Katie has been with my team for five years now and I honestly don’t know what I would do without her. I can always count on her to laugh at my jokes, lend a helping hand and support me in every way possible.

Her artistic eye is woven throughout all of my films and is invaluable. She is also the lady taking care of all my aerial footage needs.

I am so lucky to have her along side me at each wedding and know all of our clients are too.

I think at this point have introduced myself a hundred times over so here is 101.

I am Rebecca. I am a wedding filmmaker. I’m trying to think of something new that someone of you who have been here a while might not know but I feel like I’m coming up short.

I do live on a family “compound” with my brother and sister next door along with my parents and grandparents. We all get together weekly for pool hangs at Mimi’s and “communally” own a 15 passenger van that we pile in to get ice cream every so often. There are currently 11 kids on road/compound and it’s pretty much the best thing ever. I am blessed with the love and support I have from all of them.

Each year we take a photo of some of the compound crew and you can swipe to see part of the gang.

I was told you should have a photo of yourself somewhere in the latest posts you have done. So this is me following the rules.

I am Rebecca, the owner and lead cinematographer for Rebecca Drouin. I am a mama and a wife. I love Harry Potter and my favorite show is New Girl. My favorite food is Thai but I will work out to eat anything and everything.

I want my clients to feel at ease when they hire me; that I will capture their day exactly how it plays out. I prefer natural candid moments that don’t feel forced. I aim for timeless classic films that you can watch back in 20 years and still feel like accurately represents your day.

My name is Rebecca and I am the owner and lead cinematographer for Rebecca Drouin. I have been in the wedding industry for about eight years now and it has been an amazing journey. I specialize in classic and timeless films for couples to enjoy long after their special day. I have been married for almost 10 years and have three beautiful children. I am sappy and sentimental but love to laugh and have a good time. I am focused on making your experience as easy as I can and love to work seamlessly with others on the team. I cannot wait to see what this year has in store with all of the incredible couples and vendors I have the privilege of working with. Today I am grateful.

I have been in the wedding industry for about 7 years now. I am still just shy of 30. I met the love of my life young and have been married for almost eight years and we have three beautiful babes. I went to school for something completely different but found myself behind the lens one way or another. I started in photography and then fell I love with the movement of film. I feel like this gives me a respect for photographers which helps on wedding days. I always wanted to be a mumma and love that my business has given me the chance to be very present with my family.

**Engagement Shoots. I feel like a lot of photographers offer the option of an engagement shoot to their couples before their wedding. It really helps the couple get a better sense of what to expect and feel more comfortable in front of the camera. Why not do the same for video?? A short film to look back on as a keepsake, but it will also allow you to see what it is like to have someone film you. To get to know your videographer better.
