Linear Scales & Rotary Encoders provide for .00019” Linear Repeatability(Full Stroke) and (+/-)2.5 Arc-Sec(B) & 1 Arc-Sec(C) in the rotary axes.

Clancy Machine Tool, Inc. is looking for a talented Sr. Field Service Engineer (FSE) to troubleshoot & repair CNC Machine Tools in the Northern California region.

——Requirements——

- Field Service Technician with 5 years experience at a machine tool builder or distributor
- Or Facilities Maintenance Technician III
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical/mechanical systems on CNC Machines
- In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting, repairing, and maintenance of Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) Machining & Turning Centers
- Experience with programmable logic controllers PLCs.
- Ability to travel within commuting distance daily to customers' facilities.
- Experience reading/interpreting electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electromechanical systems, mechanical & electrical subsystems
- Experience with Fanuc control (Heidenhain, and/or Siemens control experience are a plus)
- Must have valid driver's license with own vehicle.

——Duties——

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/mechanical systems on mills, lathes, VTLs, HMCs, 5-axis Machining centers, & multi-axis machines.

- Perform heavy mechanical repairs such as replacing spindles.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs.
- Communicate technical service information to customers.
- Analyze needed repairs & ensure any required parts are ordered.
- Installation and setup of new machinery and options.
- Ability to use a PC and job-related software for programming, documentation, and record-keeping.
- Complete service reports for each service call.
- Ability to maintain professional conduct when dealing with customers, peers, and suppliers.
- Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs
