This is my public service message for today.

In todays world of quick every thing, a background check is not a place where I personally want quick answers. Quick can in some cases hurt you (the end use consumer) when you are depending on someone elses word that they ran a background check.

Today I applied to get leads from a nationally known platform and as part of the application process they asked to do a background check on me as one of the owners. What shocked me though was that I received notice within 4 minutes that my background check returned as clear and I was good to go. This background check was run by another nationally known company. Having run thousands of background checks myself I was completely shocked and dismayed that these results came back so quickly until I realized that they did not run for any local or state jurisdictions, these are the courts that see most of the actual crimes. They only ran for Federal (and I sincerely doubt that was done within the time frame of the returned return)

When I run a background check with a well known and trusted company, it can take days to get the info back since each counties courts systems have to be checked where the person being screened has lived in the past couple of years. This takes time.

In my opinion, I will be leary of anyone saying they ran a background check now, I will dig deeper and ask with what company was the check run and were local courts checked?

1. Lemon and Salt Scrub: Dealing with stubborn stains and grime on sinks and metal surfaces can be challenging. However, a straightforward mixture of equal parts lemon juice and salt can perform wonders. This homemade scrub ensures your surfaces gleam, looking as good as new.

2. Vinegar Window Wash: For dusty windows, especially in urban areas, a blend of water and white vinegar is the perfect solution. Pour this mixture into a spray bottle for streak-free and sparkling windows. Achieve a flawless finish by using microfiber towels to wipe them clean.

3. Baking Soda for Carpets: Revitalize rusty or odorous carpets with a quick fix—sprinkle baking soda on the carpet, letting it sit for 15 minutes. Then, vacuum the carpet to eliminate any lingering odors, leaving it with a fresh and pleasant scent.

4. Steam Cleaning for Microwaves: Microwaves can become breeding grounds for germs and dirt. To restore them, place a bowl of water with a few lemon slices in the microwave and heat it for a few minutes. The steam will loosen the dirt, making it easy to wipe the microwave clean from the inside.

• Simmer a pot filled with stick cinnamon, orange peel, whole cloves, and water on your stove.
• Place small bowls of vinegar around the room as it absorbs lingering odors.
• Sprinkle cinnamon on a cookie sheet and warm it in the oven for a natural and pleasant aroma.
