Steve, a San Jose native, loves woodworking, music, and painting, while Dawn, from a small farm in Lowell, OR, has a deep connection to animals and the outdoors. Their values center around faith, family, and community.
This power couple loves working side by side and helping their neighbors. The Tansills are Chamber members and have partnered with a local church to begin the Angel Backpack Program - an initiative to support local children facing food insecurity over the weekends. Excited to be back on the East Coast, Brian, born and raised in Williamsport, PA, completed his undergraduate degree at Dickinson College, majoring in Political Science. After college, he found his passion in retail with over a 20+ year career in retail management.

When he is not working he enjoys dining out with friends, shopping, reading, movies, and loves to travel. Brian’s adventures are a tale of wanderlust - with over 10 global cruises, red-eye flights to London, bus tours in Ireland, and recently Disneyland Paris. 🌍✈️

Congratulations to Dan, with 37 years of grocery expertise who is committed to providing a top-notch shopping experience for the community. Dan’s understanding of the importance of family compels him to be the best he can be as an owner-operator. He met his wife of 25 years, Amanda, while she was shopping at his first store as manager. They relocated to the Sacramento area where both of their sons were born and raised. Their elder son Jared is currently finishing his final year at UCSB, and Jack is a junior in high school. In addition to Gold River Grocery Outlet, Dan is an active member of the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce whose dedication extends to supporting local organizations such as Blessings In A Backpack.

Today was the big Grand Opening day for the Incline Village, NV Grocery Outlet! Congratulations are in store for Grocery Outlet rockstars - Ryan and Shannon Parrish!

A bit about the Parrish’s: They both had corporate grocery careers prior to becoming independent operators. So, they know how important it is to have meaningful community and personal relationships with customers. They are looking forward to bringing great savings and extending their community reach to Incline Village and North Tahoe. They have a successful record with Grocery Outlet starting in 2014 when they opened San Luis Obispo. They then moved to San Diego and operated the East Village location, and in 2020 opened Truckee.

As a family, and business owners, it is important to them to give back to their community. They support many organizations like local schools, youth sports, town of Truckee events and our annual food drive for Sierra Community House. They have seven children who work in the family business one level or another.
We absolutely can’t wait to see what more the Parrish family can accomplish and wish them luck in this next adventure!
