It’s easy to be negative, everyone is doing it. A fashion that has lingered on for decades if not centuries is hard to shake. Why not go against the tide and bring some joy into peoples lives?

Some won’t except it, others will wonder what you’re up to, but if we simply extend grace to those who are strangers to its reality, maybe then the tide will start to change!

What do you do when things go south? When your circumstances start to get turbulent, do you ignore the new becoming reality or does facing your hurdles become a challenge?

If your view is struggle or turmoil and doom I would ask for you to accept it and become the leader you were meant to be.

We often wait for others in charge to take action and fix it but if you are becoming a new person, it is up to you to take action and offer your input.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

Self motivation comes in many aspects. I have decided to work on bettering my self in all areas. I have, since Covid, been on a downward spiral with not paying close attention to my well being. So, enough is enough, now is the time. I use to think that success was only for the elect, the special people, the popular folk and I thought that I would never enter that click. Well I’ve realized that my stinking thinking was wrong. So in order to work on myself I am not just working on my physical self but my mental as well. Getting my head screwed on right will set me up for success in all aspects of my life and I’m looking forward to it.

What does the start of your day look like? What productive or destructive practices guides you in a direction each day?

My hope by sharing is to allow others to hear what is working for us and maybe what needs to be tweaked and adjusted.

Are you a positive person? Everyone who knows me, knows that I struggle with being positive. It is something that I strive for but my fuse is so short, it usually takes me to an opposite direction quickly!

One thing I absorbed is to have daily triggers steer me through my day. Example-when I walk through the door at work, think, how can I grow to be a better employee? When driving-think, how can I be a calm driver not allowing others actions effect me?

Try coming up with some triggers that will bring you closer to be the person you want to be! Start now. Start today.

What do you want to do? Do you have goals? I’m not talking about I want to eat lunch at 11:00AM or I want to get home early to watch the game. I’m talking about, life goals. What are they? You need to continually hold your goals up before you and you will achieve them.
Remember, if you want life to change...you have to change. If you want life to get better...you have to get better.

There are times in my life when people really become a heavy weight. I try to be the nice person but it always seems like I get pooped on. This is why you need to know your why! It’s at times like these that pulling out my reasons for the way I do things, starts to harden my positive foundation. Do you guys ever feel this way?

There is a daily checklist that applies to my life that I must focus on daily.

First of all, I must rejoice and feel whole because of the hope I have in my savior Jesus.

Secondly, I need to be patient in times of trouble not losing focus of the one who saves me.

Lastly, I need to continue to pray staying in direct connection with Jesus. Checking in with Him to follow the path that He already has set for me.

This checklist is confirmed in Romans 12:12. Check it out, commit to it and receive the blessings freely!

Two mile walk! When you haven’t been working out like you should, you should start with walking to loosen up. Your workouts should approximately be around 50-60 minutes.

When I first started to focus on my health I really didn't know what to do. I needed to know and learn what would work for me. I did some diets, but never really researched it well and I always failed. I reached out to a couple that wanted to help me. They gave me a fool proof plan that said that if I followed it, I would lose 20 pounds within a six week schedule. I figured that I could follow a plan. I figured that if it worked for others, then why wouldn't it work for me. What made others so important that it would only work for them and not me? So I followed it! I lost a total of 32 pounds in a six week term. I kept going after the six weeks were up. I figured that if it was still working for me, why stop? So after a total of five months, I peaked at 62 pounds. I want to be able to help others to reach those same goals. What do you say? Wanna give it a try?

What's Your Why? What is it that gets you motivated? Do you have a list of people or things that motivate you? I want to challenge you to write a list that gives you your why. You could have a number of lists or just categorize it to fit the different aspects of your life.

Life goals: I want to get closer to God and have Him guide my decisions and steps.
Why: I want to have a purpose and matter to Him.

Physical: I want to be healthy. Not tired all of the time.
Why: So I can be a better husband, father, brother, son, and friend. To be able to help others.

Financial: I want to be financially sound.
Why: So I can do the things that God wants me to do. Also, to help others.
