We had an incredible time yesterday at the 'Good Times Are Back' event at Fink White Park. Over 300 backpacks were distributed to families as they enjoyed a fun-filled evening with barbecue, bounce houses, and more. This morning, we attended the 3rd Annual FUSD Parent University Family Goal Kick-Off Event at Maya Cinemas. The free community event attracted over 5,000 attendees. This morning, we had the pleasure of attending a Saturday Block Party at Holmes Playground, sponsored by Cornerstone Community Care. The event offered a wide range of activities, including free food, entertainment, groceries, haircuts, face painting, and resource booths. Yesterday's Independent Living Association Fresno Shared Housing Forum & Resource Fair provided us with an ideal platform to showcase our resource booth and connect with a vast number of attendees and other agencies, thereby efficiently communicating our office's role. The Fresno Independent Living Association is a privately-owned or operated home or multi-unit complex that provides shared housing for adults living with a severe mental illness or co-occurring substance use disorder.
