Did you know we have over 80 different majors and minors represented in our honors college? We accept students from all different areas of study, which contributes to the unique education our scholars receive. Not only do they benefit from cross-disciplinary friendships, they also become more well-rounded and connected! (And also…a little bit more silly.)
Did you know the President’s Honors Scholarship includes a stipend for on-campus housing? Along with tuition, Smittcamp provides a stipend that fully covers an on-campus community style dorm room. Over 60% of our scholars live in on-campus housing! It is a great opportunity to meet new people while having the convenience of living so close to classes and campus life!
Happy Day of Giving!🐾 Shout out to the Council of President Scholars for putting together this awesome video! You can help support our scholars by donating today! #WeLoveSmittcamp #FresnoStateDOG ➡️ https://bit.ly/SFHCDayOfGiving

Fireside Chats & Generous Donors
#DidYouKnow? The President’s Honors Scholarship Fund is the collective, ongoing effort of many donors across the Honor College’s lifespan.
Since the initial $1M investment by the late Earl and Muriel Smittcamp in 1997, their family members (alongside many other donors) have generously donated additional funds to support the nearly $2M annual cost of our President's Honors Scholarships (PHS).
The Honors College scholars, faculty, and staff would like to thank all donors for their collective generosity and kindness in helping sustain this great gem at Fresno State. 💛🐾💚

Congratulations 2021 Graduates!
Dear members of the 2021 Graduating Class of SFHC Scholars,
On behalf of the SFHC faculty, staff, and myself, I would like to offer you my heartfelt congratulations upon graduating with your bachelor’s degree. The past academic year has certainly been like no other and, throughout the pandemic, you have demonstrated resilience, adaptability, optimism, and courage in your willingness to try new ways of learning and engaging. These attributes will serve you well in your life’s path. During the past 4 (or 5) years, you have worked very hard, have achieved a lot and, just as important, have met some amazing people along the way. I am so incredibly proud of your accomplishments and, as you embark on a new chapter in your life’s journey, I hope that you will always be healthy in body and spirit, do something you love and are passionate about, and that you will be of service to others and make a positive difference. As the great American poet, Maya Angelou, said: “Do the best you can do until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better.” I hope that, as a SFHC alum, you will stay in touch and will pay us a visit whenever you can. Good luck and Go Dogs!
