Update on Caleb regarding Fencing.
He is starting his college career and fencing @ UCSB in September. Go Gauchos! I will do my best to keep up pics & info about his competition’s at University.
He has one last competition on 8/31 before leaving for school, and I’ll share that as it happens.

Caleb finished 61st out of 301. They're otw home & back on Monday for another day in this Tournament.

Caleb went three for three in the pools. Two of the three he lost at 4 to 5, and they are only taking 60% of the athletes because there were more than 400 to start. When the pools are done, they will determine who gets into the DE tables by Win to loss and then point differential +\-, so it's a good possibility he will be in.

Great news, just found out he is in!!!

He had a tiresome journey there & got much less than adequate sleep bc of flight delays.
Appreciate prayer for his mindset & energy, and no injuries.

Sad news, Caleb was fencing through the brackets & he can’t continue bc of a muscle strain. He went to medical & they are doing a medical withdrawal half way through.

Please pray for his healing & a guard against discouragement.

In JR’s Saturday, Caleb finished in a tie for 144th out of 347 ☺️
In Cadets today, he managed to finish 62nd of 302 even with two injuries. Proud of him for fighting through it.
They’ll be home tomorrow!

He's @ the hotel now, & then getting a healthy meal. Tomorrow the guys will do schoolwork & then it's an 0800 start on Monday.

The boy & the hubs are in Denver this eve for a 1pm start tomorrow
for the JR Olympics in Fencing.

Caleb is also fencing Monday morning @ 0800.
Sunshine tried to get packed to go along but he didn’t make the list.

Caleb is currently ranked 16th in Div 1a Nationally, 69th in Jr’s for Region IV, & 33rd in Cadet’s for Region IV.
Please pray for a clear mind & strong body after travel & the elevation change, & for protection from injury.

Hi. The guys are getting ready to head to the Venue in WA. Caleb has a B22, he wants his A so much, so that's a goal for today. His chances are good. Please pray for his mental game- healthy thought processes in moments of self criticism & situations he feels he has no control.

It is tourn. prep time again! Caleb will have his usual practices & private lessons, then a 3 day tourney in N. Cali 11/4-6. He’s been recovering a wrist sprain from the last tourn., so we’d appreciate prayers for no re-injury or inflammation.
