We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Maria Yanez from the City of Oceanside to our campus! 🌟 During her tour of our labs, she met with our students and heard inspiring stories from our graduates. Mrs. Replogle’s (Mon/Wed Labs) 8am dental assistant students are in Module 140 - Dental Materials. For their last week of labs, her students got to learn how to mix alginate and impression materials to make study models of their patients’ teeth by pouring up the dental stone for the study model as the cast sets, trimming the study model to make it presentable for patient presentation, aid the lab tech in fabrication of a crown, and finishing up with the final cast. Great job class! Looks fantastic!
Mr Anger’s evening criminal justice students for labs this week conducted a crime scene scenario investigation collecting evidence. The stimulation was
choreographed by their instructor, which they had to execute the findings of every details. The crime scene involved two vehicles, which the process includes marking and picking up the evidence, taking photos of the scene, and dusting for latent prints. They also learned the proper chain of custody once the evidence has been secured. They are in Module CJ 130 (Crime Scene Technology). Great job class! Keep up the good work!
