Empezando el 1 de enero de 2024, los trabajadores tienen derecho a 40 horas o 5 días de enfermedad.
Las horas de enfermedad se pueden usar para ir a una cita médica, porque estás enfermo y necesitas reposar, para llevar a un familiar a su cita o cuidar de un familiar enfermo.
Tu empleador no te puede pedir una nota del doctor por usar tus horas de enfermedad si no has usado más de 40 horas en el año laboral.
La ley dice que puedes empezar a usar tus horas de enfermedad a los 90 días de trabajar con tu empleador.
Si tu empleador te ha negado tus horas de enfermedad, eso es considerado robo de salario.
