-Loosen Up Your Body: Do some light stretching or gentle neck and shoulder rolls to release tension and prepare your body for singing. 🧘‍♂️

Do you have a 5 - 7-year-old interested in music but unsure what they want to play?

We're launching a new group class next Tuesday at 5:45pm, FOUNDATIONS OF MUSIC, designed to teach our littles the fundamentals of rhythm, piano, singing, and ukulele.

Led by our awesome instructor Kaden, this class will be filled with music games, playing music together, and even a little music theory.

Kaden said, "I'm not sure who's going to have more fun, me or the kids!"

And that's all you need to know about this class.

The first lesson is free to try and will be $30 / class after.

After seeing some interest around Friendswood and League City for this, we've decided to launch:

CREATOR LAB - Video Production Class for ages 9 - 17.

There are a million reasons to hate the internet and many more ways to get addicted to our screens.

But what if we changed our relationship to content? What if we learned to produce rather than consume, and committed to add light and positivity into a space that is often bleak?

In this 7-week course, we'll learn to write scripts, frame our shots, film B-Roll, and edit our videos right on our phones (using Cap Cut).

We'll cover topics like storytelling, lighting, and title screens as well.

At the end of the course, your kid will be able to produce videos on their own. Dramatically enhancing their communication, production, and creative skills.

Class will meet once a week on Saturdays at 1pm for an hour (and will probably go over sometimes). .ian.zamora will be leading the class - he’s one of our awesome music teachers with a great passion and talent for filmmaking. The first class starts August 17th.

We've enjoyed being that fun, recreational, student-led music program. And that will always be at the heart of our studio culture.

But as we've grown, our students have grown too, and needed a more structured approach to learning and mastering their instruments.

Enter , an international rock and pop curriculum based in the UK.

With RSL we'll be able to guide our more serious students through music theory, improvisation, sight reading, technical skills, and playback of music's most iconic and engaging songs.

The RSL curriculum is graded and pedagogical, but also fun and rewarding to complete.

If you or your student is looking to go to music school or is serious about being a professional musician, taking lessons with us and the RSL curriculum is a clear path to get you where you want to go.

Dear Best Lesson Ever Students, Parents, and Supporters,

We have some exciting news to share!

We are delighted to announce that Revive Med Spa has graciously offered us the use of their vacant building for the summer. This means our lessons will continue with plenty of space and new opportunities for growth.

We will be making the move at the end of May, with all lessons continuing as scheduled, except for those taking with Mr. Brian (please talk with him directly for more details). While we settle into our new space, we ask for your patience as we make some internal adjustments.

To add to the excitement, we're planning some fun group classes and advanced instruction for our most dedicated students. Keep an eye out for more details coming soon!

Dear Best Lesson Ever Students, Parents, and Supporters,

I strive for transparency and honesty, both in our business operations and in my personal life. This memo contains thoughts on both fronts, straight from the heart.

Best Lesson Ever as a business is doing great, but I am not.

Despite BLE’s growth, during my annual review, I realized my personal sacrifices have been significant. Balancing the responsibilities of being a dad to four young children, supporting my hardworking wife, and managing my own well-being has been challenging.

And that’s not all.

The catalyst for our upcoming changes are not just personal.

Our lease is up at the end of April.

I’ve negotiated to stay in our building until the end of May, after which this side of the complex will be shut down.

While exploring potential new locations, and trying to make the financials make sense, I’ve had to take a serious look at myself. Having an honest conversation with how much risk I’m willing to take on, how much time I’d like to spend with my young family, how much stress I can handle, and where my skills and God-given talents are best put to use.

Which led me to an obvious answer.

I need to slow down and appreciate what I have, spend more time with the people I love. And get back to what I know how to do best, live music entertainment.

Moving forward, Best Lesson Ever will revert to in-home lessons only starting in June.

This situation may not be ideal for every student or family, so please let me know your thoughts or any concerns you might have. We will have to address our schedule and make it work with instructors and students. Luckily, the Summer gives us a few extra hours to work with.

To my personal students, I will also be taking a sabbatical from teaching in June as I put focus back on my music career and well-being.

Every minute we’ve spent together has been a joy for me. Sharing laughs, milestones and coaching your kids into young confident musicians has been a dream.

All I ever wanted to do was make an impact on Friendswood and the surrounding areas. A place where I grew up and flourished from a kid to an adult, and now a place that I call home. Serving more students was always the goal, but as we’re being forced to grow or shrink, I must take the path that leads to a better work-life balance.

Moving through these changes, I want to assure you that the core mission of Best Lesson Ever— to inspire a lifelong love of music in each of our students —remains unchanged. Our awesome instructors are here to support every student's journey, and I am committed to maintaining the highest standards in their training and development.

Please feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions, concerns, or suggestions you might have. Your feedback is invaluable as we move forward together in this new chapter. I am grateful for your understanding, support, and part in our community.
