Home to 7 pro sports teams, Frisco is nicknamed Sports City USA

Frisco is home to the Frisco RoughRiders, a minor league baseball team, and FC Dallas, a major league soccer team. The Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Stars major league hockey team also chose Frisco for the site of their practice facilities and headquarters. Frisco also counts among its teams such franchises as the Texas Legends (basketball), the Dallas Rattlers (pro lacrosse), and the Frisco Fighters (indoor football). The city also hosts the annual college football Frisco Bowl and is the headquarters for the National Soccer Hall of Fame. And, you are just a short drive to a Dallas Mavericks or Texas Rangers game!

The Cowboys are the most valuable sports franchise in the world at $5 billion, Mavericks at $2.25 billion, and the MLB Texas Rangers in Arlington at $1 billion. It is no surprise that in 2018, 6.6 million sports visitors pumped 2.1 billion dollars into the local economy.

Frisco will soon finish the PGA headquarters in 2023, which will bring two championship golf courses, a conference center and a $500 million Omni resort-style hotel with an estimated $2.5 billion potential impact on the local economy.

Frisco’s Toyota Stadium which hosts the FC Dallas Soccer team is the front runner to be the basecamp for FIFA 2026.

As someone who lives directly across the Hall of Fame FC Dallas Stadium and am a 5 minute drive to the PGA Headquarters, RoughRiders Stadium, and the Cowboys practice stadium, there is never a dull moment to be had for a sports fan!

With all the sports teams and access to practice fields as a result of an agreement between them and Frisco Independent School District, Frisco has been ranked #1 for raising a kid to make it to a pro sports team.
