How to rank on Google (Our Process) for desired keywords with a new site or with a website redesign and development.

1. Develop a website that passes Google's PageSpeed citations
2. Don't use website builders that have only pre-built elements (Wordpress, Squarespace, Wix, etc.)
3. Optimize all images, videos, graphics, etc. by using the right dimensions, resolutions, file formats (.webp, .webm, .avif, .svg)
4. Name all images, videos, embeds, graphics, etc. using your brand name, image context, service provided, and area focused on
5. Create pages on your website that don't compete with each other (ex. if you're a roofer, create two separate pages for roof replacement and roof inspection so it's clear what the primary focus of the page is)
6. Optimize meta title and description tags for your town, brand, and page
7. Add schema data
8. Make sure there's at least 1/10 the amount of text on each page compared to the HTML
9. Include your address throughout each page of the site (this can be the footer)
8. Every first sentence on each page should target the keyword you want that page to rank for
9. Every first heading tag on each page should target the keyword you want that page to rank for
10. Every last sentence on each page should target the keyword you want that page to rank for
11. Prioritize UX and copywriting for your keywords
12. Connect Google Analytics and Google Search Console
13. Use Semrush to track literally everything
14. Focus on ONE TOWN first. If you ignore this rule, have fun spending a ton of money for nothing.
15. Benchmark all of your analytics and track them at least biweekly

These screenshots are from High Performance Restoration LLC, an amazing roofing company here in Frisco, Texas.

The agency that built their site (no names shall be put...put you can find it at the bottom of their site 🤫) created their site using a Whitelabel website editor, Duda.

So from the client's perspective, that's cool! The agency they hired has their own software so they must be SUPER legit, right?

Wrong!

The website optimization was failing horribly (sometimes it would load a 30/100 in Google's testing) and Brad, the owner of HPR, had NO IDEA.

Their site was taking over 8 seconds to load on mobile, had multiple duplicated scripts, large unoptimized images in the wrong format, unordered headings, over 30 pieces of duplicate meta data, a lot of 4XX redirects, and about 20 more problems.
