If you thought customer expectations were high before, get ready! The restaurant and hospitality industry is hoping that customers will be patient and forgiving, but we're seeing the exact opposite happening in online reviews.

According to BrightLocal, research shows that negative reviews stop 40% of consumers wanting to use a business. In the unfortunate case that these negative reviews pop up on Google searches, the businesses can potentially lose around 70% of their future customers.

Cox Media Group Local Solutions states that negative reviews succeed in chasing away customers from your business to your competitors. Research shows that one negative review drives away 22% of prospects, around 30 customers. The percentage of lost customers increases with an increase in negative reviews. Three negative reviews drive away customers by 59.2%. More than four negative reviews increase your lost customers to 70%.

If this is true, wouldn't it be important to measure the customer experience before a review is posted online? A mystery shopping program should be a labor cost to your business, not a marketing expense.

I was on a fascinating webinar this morning listening to thought leaders, such as Ed Doherty, discuss how "Safety is the new Hospitality". Many establishments are incorporating safety protocols to make their customers comfortable with takeout and delivery options. The point was made in this webinar that those who follow strict safety protocols and convey them to their customers will win. Prepare, communicate and execute! Your customers need to feel that "safety curb appeal" from your establishment and see it in everything that you do.

Measuring the experience will be critical, both from an operational perspective and from the customer's feedback. What gets measured gets accomplished. How are you preparing to open back up for in store visitors?

The Scheduler Admin works at the direction of the Director of Scheduling and performing a variety of tasks related to scheduling mystery shoppers for assignments. We work in fast-paced, deadline driven environment where resilience, creativity and a commitment to meeting deadlines are required for success.

Candidates must be upbeat with energetic personalities and strong attention to details, punctual, reliable and coachable.
Working knowledge of the Mac OS operating system, Google Business Apps and/or experience with outbound calls are a plus.

We are looking for candidates to fill two scheduler positions. After training, you can expect to spend about 50% of your time on the phone (both inbound and outbound calls) with the other 50% of the time working in email and other web applications.

The scheduler position requires very strong organizational skills as well as the ability to meet monthly deadlines. You will be recruiting participants for various projects nationwide. Daily tasks include monitoring the progress of your projects to ensure deadlines are met, telephone recruiting, pre-screening and coaching of project participants, following up on report submission by participants and reporting daily progress to your supervisor.

You will be working in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment. Compensation includes hourly wage, health insurance benefits, paid time off and performance bonus.
