I'm juuust getting back into the flow of things today after the most epic 3 days at the Go Wild Planner Conference where I literally spoke on the same stage as Martha Stewart. Check out this IG post.

I've always said it takes 10 years to become an overnight success and wow did it feel like that this weekend.

I've never signed more autographs in my LIFE! (No wonder I would always practice signing my name while bored in class!) 🙃

When I looked at this photo in front of the lockers l I realized it takes me back to high school when I was the weirdo that defff didn't fit in. In fact - I moved schools my senior year to "reinvent myself". 🦄

Someone I pulled an oracle card for at the event sent me a DM sharing she knows that I am doing exactly what I am meant to be doing and I FELT that in my soul. 🔮

And I want you to feel that kind of deep purpose in your life.

Today happens to be a very special day for me. My amma's 80th (heavenly) birthday. Ingibjorg, my Icelandic grandmother, was a stunning 5'10" foreigner who didn't speak English when she moved here with my American grandfather.

They met while he was stationed in the navy and fell in love (ok lust if we're being honest) at first sight! LOL They were together almost 60 years before she passed in 2019.

If you've been with me that long you probably remember the profound grief I was moving through during that loss.

I had never considered how much of an influence she was on me as a mother figure until she was gone.

Usually I don't work on Wednesday in the salon, but for some reason I was booked with one new client today so I trusted the flow.

While creating a gorgeous blonde highlight on her she was sharing her healing story of removing her implants and then I shared how cilantro is a great herb to heavy metal detoxing and she says "EW! I can't stand cilantro it tastes like BLAK LICORICE!"

Ok, random to you I know, BUT for me it was absolutely no question that my grandmother was channeling through her. You see, black licorice to Icelanders is like crack and at every table as a staple. In fact, my aunt just sent me home with a bag of it from her 4th of July party. Sign #1.

Sign #2 happened when we wrapped up her appointment with an oracle card pull - because DUH I'm THAT kind of woo-woo hairstylist 😀

She pulled the card "Be Bold! Don't be afraid to stand out." as you see above.

Jaw dropped and I had to hold back the tears. Right before she passed - I was JUST about finished with creating my Shine From the Inside Oracle deck. I had some makeshift cards printed at FedEx as a mock up and I had each person in my family pull a card to represent their energy.

As you can guess, my grandmother pulled the "Be Bold" card so when my new client Ashleigh pulled it and flipped it over - I knew there was a reason I was meant to do her hair on THIS specific day.
