I don’t usually share my personal life on my Hair page, but I thought I owe my clients and my future clients that it’s more to doing hair when your behind a chair! We actually have a day to day life we have to live that sometimes as cosmetologist we don’t share because we’re so focused on making your day. There are times we’re not okay and sometimes behind those laughter and smiles there’s hidden pain.

This year was by far the hardest year for me I lost my coworker the next month after that I lost my cousin, the month after that my husband lost his mother. I continued to go to work and do what I do best but deep down inside I wasn’t okay, when I said I was okay, I wasn’t having a good week, even when I said I was, I was actually hurt, numbed, doubtful, confused, and the worst feeling ever I was empty and lost. I never thought I would go through this but I did and I never took a time off because I felt like I would fail you all but in reality I failed myself!

Mental health is very important, an plays an important part in your life! It’s okay to take a break from life and revaluate your life and get back to business when your ready to accept life!
