After a rigorous 2 weeks, we have successfully completed the 2024 summer workshop! With hearty gratitude to Master Garu Hari Ram Murthy, his wife Bhanu garu, and their assistant disciple Sindhu, this exciting opportunity has only been possible due to their patience and blessings that the students received. The kids had learned more than just complex steps and items, building dedication, stamina, technique, and grace all within the span of 10 days. Last Saturday, June 29th, the students were able to showcase their new teachings at the Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple. Nevertheless, there is still so much to learn for them, and this experience allowed for everyone - including the parents - to be more involved and optimistic towards each dancer’s journey. Again, we are extremely thankful for everyone’s support and we look forward to the next event!

Successfully completed the long awaited, first summer workshop after Covid with Guru Sri Hari Ram Murthy garu and his assistant Mr. Subbaraju. It was a wonderful opportunity for all the kids to learn nuances of Kuchipdudi. All the kids got an opportunity to perform at the end of the workshop. They all enjoyed thoroughly and are looking forward for next year. It was a unique learning experience for the students.

Today, on Gurudev Rabindra Nath Tagore's birth anniversary, we pay our respects to the poet laureate who gave us many important works, including our National Anthem. For Kuchipudi, his Chandalika has been pathbreaking, with guru Dr. Vempati Chinna Ssatyam bringing it to life for the first time. Today, I share our reproduction of the dance drama from 2005. Grateful to Master garu for this masterpiece and to Gurudev Tagore for his beautiful work on human emotions and equality🙏

Remembering our beloved Guru Sobha Naidu's birthday today, I'm thinking of her many iconic roles. While she personified Satyabhama, she brought the grace of Menaka to stage! She also helped many of her students in the roles she was famous for. Here's a video of Menaka Viswamitra from 2007, that we presented in Dallas. Teacher helped me with the planning, production design and many nuances of Menaka. Forever grateful to her 🙏🏽🙏🏽
