The rains came down early afternoon and the cloud cover kept it from getting hot and humid! It was a beautiful night to enjoy First Friday! Great shopping, delicious dining, beautiful cars, and lots of fun!

The Carrollton Artist Guild's "Carrollton-Gadsden Art Swap" will have its opening reception on Friday, AUGUST 2ND from 5 - 8 PM.
Please visit and participate in the vote for the winner of the People's Choice Award! The award winner will be announced at the end of September.

What is the Art Swap Program?
This annual program invites artists and art organizations within the region an opportunity to show their members’ work in a venue outside of their county by trading spaces with the Carrollton Center for the Arts (CCA) and Carrollton Artist Guild (CAG) for exhibitions of each others’ local artists. This allows visitors in each city to meet new artists they may not otherwise have the chance to see while allowing artists the chance to meet new potential patrons.

Gadsden's First Friday is adapting to Mother Nature's challenges! Due to the forecast of severe weather and intense heat, we're making some changes to keep everyone safe while still celebrating. Our streets will remain open to traffic, allowing for smoother flow and easier access to cool spots. Classic car enthusiasts, don't worry! You can still showcase your beautiful rides in regular parking spots and lots throughout downtown. Pedestrians, we've got your safety in mind – please stick to the sidewalks as you explore our vibrant downtown scene. Despite the weather curveballs, we're determined to keep the First Friday spirit alive! Come downtown to enjoy the atmosphere, support local businesses, and admire vintage vehicles while staying cool and safe. Remember, Gadsden's community spirit shines bright, rain or shine!
