Earth Mamas Tie-Dye

Hi friends, it looks like we won’t be doing any farmers market but will still be able to sell our creations locally or via US mail if you’re interested. I’m renovating my kitchen and it’s being an all consuming project at this time. Got a few new things and just want you to know that if you want to special order a shirt for a gift for the holidays to hit us up.

I know June is over but I love rainbows and expressing pride all year long. Here are a couple of new shirts. On the left is a women’s medium that runs small and on the right a child size 6-8.

Reverse dye tank top. Women’s L, but more like a medium.

Just finished these two reverse dyes. The one on the left is an adult small. On the right is a youth large.

A reverse dye shirt is when you take a solid color shirt, usually black, and apply bleach to certain parts. It’s laborious because it must be done outside(noxious fumes) and it entails rinsing in peroxide water to neutralize the bleach. Then it needs to dry fit 24-48 hours before dyeing. I’m currently waiting fr 5 shirts bleached yesterday to dry. Here’s some photos of the process.

We are taking the hot summer months off from doing the farmers market so if you need tie-dye, you need to find us here and request something. I’ve been busy doing a lot of shirts for children and baby onesies so I’m posting a few pictures of those. I also am doing rayon scarves and I’ll post a new one that I just did yesterday. If you need a T-shirt or a onesie, we’re definitely available and we do mail orders too.
