WE’RE MOVING!!! !!!!!!! ! !!!!!!!!! !!!!
🥳😭🤗😛🥰😙🤪🤩🤓🥺😩

There are no words to describe how excited and grateful we are. We’re moving our shop — How Bazar — into a phenomenal space right in the heart of downtown Gainesville.

Our soft opening will be THIS MONTH — Saturday, November 13th for our upcoming Bazar À La Carte night market.

As always, we are incredibly honored to be part of this community and we are indescribably appreciative of the love + support y’all have shown us. We can’t wait to make y’all proud!

More information on the new shop and market coming soon 💜

Today we're popped up at the "Journey to Juneteenth" Food Truck Rally in Downtown GNV Commons. Come visit us!

Florida weather abruptly ended our market today. Unfortunately some of the rare & retro, exotic snacks/drinks vended by Papo’s Pop Up got wet. He said he can’t responsibly sell them anymore but they’re all still good! We are leaving a box of his snacks outside our front door for anyone who would like to sample them. Feel free to snag any of these goodies!

From Jordan To Gainesville: Middle Eastern Embroidery Makes An Entrance 02/11/2021

Thank you WUFT News for sharing this beautiful article about the embroidered masks we brought to Gainesville through Sitti Soap. These masks were handmade by refugee women in Jerash, Jordan. We were honored to collaborate with such a special organization and introduce their talent within our own community.

We are also excited to announce that we will be receiving 150 more lovely masks from the women! They are in the process of being handmade now and we will be sharing an update when they get shipped to the States. Thank you to all those who supported this project and who proudly wear your mask.

Thank you to Grethel Aguila for writing this story.

At The How Bazar, we believe in connecting and empowering global communities. Recently, we had the honor of collaborating with a valuable organization called Sitti Soap.

Sitti Soap is a group made up of refugee women living in Jerash, Jordan. These women create handmade products in order to sustain themselves and their families economically while exploring other educational opportunities. Sitti Soap is a true testament to the resiliency of these women.

To support this project, we are helping sell Sitti Soap’s beautiful products! Each mask is uniquely embroidered with leftover fabrics and materials from a traditional Middle Eastern dress factory near their camp. We are also selling the women’s handmade natural olive oil soaps that can be used to hand clean your mask.

These masks are going very quickly! Stop by our shop to find your perfect fit.

Did you know that we have stylists on our team?

The How Bazar provides free styling if you are searching for a specific look or need advice on a fit.

Next time you come into the shop, ask for a personal styling. Or book FREE private appointments with stylists by DMing us. We usually schedule private appointments after hours so you have the whole shop to yourself. We’ve had so much fun with groups of friends that come in to explore all kinds of styles (some even BYOB 🤫). Our private appointments usually turn into parties 🤪

*IMPORTANT UPDATES*

Thank you all so much for attending & supporting our very first market, Bazar Á La Carte! We are incredibly honored and humbled by the love we received today. It was a pleasure meeting each of you & we hope to grow this community tremendously.

Sadly, the weather forecast for tomorrow is awful. This means that we will have to cancel the second day of our market 😢

On the bright side! Because of the great feedback we received today, we are planning to host a vintage market EVERY MONTH! If you’re interested in vending, please feel free to message us. If you ever have any questions, please feel free to message us!

Our vintage boutique is open EVERY Friday - Tuesday from 11 am - 7 pm, so stop by and check us out any time. Also message us to schedule a FREE, private appointment if you want the store to yourself & friends with a personal stylist.

Thank you for supporting local art, choosing ethical consumerism, and for picking out cool af stuff. We appreciate you 🖤
