UF Information Technology's Tech Byte series continues this spring with a unique, student panel event. Current undergraduates from diverse majors, including UF Industrial and Systems Engineering and UF Department of Computer & Information Science & Engineering, will talk about how AI has become part of their education.

Specifically, the panelists will discuss their use of AI in coursework, how AI is showing up in their lives, and about AI’s impact on their career path and plans for the future.

"Leveraging the Power of Large Language Models", a project to improve student experience through AI, has been awarded funding as part of the UF Strategic Funding Initiative! Congratulations to the research team and Dr. Laura Cruz Castro!

Dr. Laura Cruz Castro, alongside other researchers from UF Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering, University of Florida College of Education, and UF Rinker School of Construction Management, developed a project entitled "Leveraging the Power of Large Language Models" that has been awarded funding as a result of President Sasse's Strategic Funding Initiative!

The project, which will be rolled out in four phases, is set to develop an AI-based interactive software tool that lets students gain timely feedback on their assignments, navigate course materials, and receive guidance on aspects of their learning (such as time management tips and career advice).
