Honor Chords

We are performing at a yearly holiday showcase with other incredible a ca****la groups next week!

If you love a ca****la and want to hear us sing some holiday tunes and our winning set, show out to the free show!

If you’re unable to come in-person, we’ll also be having a livestream on our page!

Come watch us perform tomorrow evening (+ talks with Honors leaders, an Honors Ensemble performance, & snacks by Honors and Aprons)!!

Event starts at 7pm in the University Auditorium (next to Century Tower).

Name: Devin Mix

Graduation semester: Spring 2023
Future plans: I hope to find employment in the cybersecurity field after graduation.
Favorite memory: Honor Chords really does feel like a family. It’s a community that I feel a very deep connection with. In a way, the group has a personality of its own, and the people that I’ve met within it have been some of the most formative to my college experience. I don’t know if I’ll ever forget that.

Devin also continues this year to serve as Honor Chords’ President. To learn more about our group, swing by a rehearsal! Meetings are every Monday @ 7:30pm in the Hume Classroom.

Patrick is a senior Economics and Political Science Major, who currently serves as Honor Chords’ Music Director. Patrick has been passionate about music from a young age, having over a decade of piano and choir experience under his belt. Patrick has even performed at Carnegie Hall. Among other things, he currently also serves as the President of the Model United Nations club. He is also the reason Honor Chords has a ‘Pun Jar’. He is very excited to see old and new faces and to teach the group’s new music.

Future plans: I'll finish my Master’s in Entrepreneurship for the rest of the school year, and then hopefully I'll be going to an MBA program or starting a full-time position in the fall.
Favorite memory: I love the people of Honor Chords! Everyone is so quirky and unique, and we are all able to bring our own personalities. It's really special how warm and inviting everyone is.

Favorite memory: My favorite part of Honor Chords is performing at Fa-La-La-Ca****la at Gator Nights! It’s so fun to get in the spirit and sing Christmas songs with all the other a ca****la groups at UF!

Favorite memory: Hearing the crowd’s excitement at Fa La La Ca****la in the Fall of 2021. Due to a series of unfortunate events, I hadn't had a real performance with Honor Chords in over 2 years, so it was awesome to get such an applause on my first performance back.

Future plans: I will be participating in the Disney College Program in the fall and hope to pursue a career in data analytics afterward.
Favorite memory: Our performance at Fa La La Ca****la last year was so much fun! The audience was really excited about our mashup of All I Want for Christmas is You and Welcome to the Black Parade, and it was overall a great experience. It was also exciting to be able to perform in person again!
