One of the country’s largest and most-advanced 3D construction printers – as in a printer that makes homes – has crossed the Atlantic Ocean and arrived at the University of Florida. 😲

Our department chair, Iris V. Rivero, has helped bring the two-story printer to campus, which was manufactured by COBOD International in Denmark and shipped in pieces to the Port of Savannah in Georgia earlier this month. It cleared U.S. Customs and pulled into UF’s East Campus in two semi-trucks this morning, and will eventually live in The Pit in Weil Hall. It will be incorporated into curriculum for multiple departments in UF’s College of Engineering! πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ‘
