The UF Chapter of the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) is dedicated to address the health needs of the Latino community, as well as to promote the interests and support of those students who identify themselves as Latino Medical students of the University of Florida through social, cultural, educational, political and other activities.
We had such an amazing year of LMSA! We had 8 GBMs, 3 Panels, 8 Socials, 8 Professional Development Events, 8 Service Opportunities, and endless memories! We would like to thank all of you who came to our events and made LMSA the wonderful community it is🫶 To our graduating seniors, LMSA will miss you deeply, and we know that you are going to change the world in your future healthcare endeavors! To those of you returning, we are so excited for another incredible year of LMSA with you!

Hi everyone!! Tomorrow Monday April 15th @ 6pm we will have an introduction to medical specialties workshop in LIT 0207. This workshop will introduce us to various medical specialties with details on amount of schooling required,competitiveness of residency, income, day to day life and more. It is a great opportunity to get exposed to the various paths you could take after medical school! We can’t wait to see you there!!

The Clinical Experience Showcase is an opportunity for members to get exposed to a variety of clinical experiences possible for pre-health students. We will have short presentations from a variety of presenters involved in different clinical experience with a Q&A following the presentations. Our November GBM is tomorrow! November is National Youth Homelessness Awareness Month, and Latino youth face a 33% increased risk of experiencing homelessness. Join us to hear from a speaker from GRACE Marketplace and learn more about health disparities in homeless populations. We hope to see you all there!
