Valley View, the island setting is incredible for a wedding!

Had an opportunity to assist in the planning and decorating (all of the flowers!) of an amazing 50th Wedding Anniversary. Bride and Groom in white with black accents, and Guests in black with white accents....and an abundance of gold! Here is a preview picture (mine so inadequate!) ...more to come. Bride and Groom had a tropical honeymoon, hence the palm fronds, and other tropical elements. The clear gold mercury glass containers exponentially changed the look on the table. We loved working the the new Embers Venue. The chandeliers sparkled, adding a truly "Puttin' on the Ritz" Character to this amazing event. Kudos to the Embers staff for their excellent service and edibles! Thank you for working with Prange's Florist to provide floral and other elements that enhanced the guest experience. It is our aim to please! To God be the Glory for the creative minds, the gorgeous flowers, the gifted hands, and servant attitudes needed to produce such an event!

I grew up in Grosse Pointe & Detroit Michigan and never once questioned my parent's income; it was never a discussion. We ate homemade meals consisting of a balanced diet, meat, vegetable & a starch and fruit was often times our dessert!!! We grew up during a time when we mowed lawns, pulled weeds, babysat, and helped neighbors with chores. We by no means were given everything we wanted. We went outside a lot to play, run with friends, play hide and seek, catch lightning bugs in a jar, went fishing, or went bike riding. We rarely just sat inside. Bottled water was unheard of. If we had a Coke, it was in a glass bottle, and we didn’t break the bottle when finished, we returned it for a nickel. After school, we came home and did homework and chores, before going outside, having friends over, or participating in a wide variety of sports activities. We would play for hours.
We had to tell our parents where we were going, who we were going with, and be home before dark, or when the streetlights came on. You LEARNED from your parents instead of disrespecting them and treating them as if they knew absolutely nothing. What they said was LAW and you did not question it and you had better know it! We watched what we said around our elders and neighbors because we knew if we DISRESPECTED any grown-up, we would get a real telling off or whooping, it wasn't called abuse, it was called discipline! We held doors, carried the shopping bags, and gave up our seat for an older person without being asked.
You didn't hear swear words on the radio in songs or on TV.
“Please and Thank you", were part of our daily vocabulary!
The world we live in now is just so full of people who hate and disrespect others.
