Wanted to thank you to all who helped make the last three weekends work with all the volunteering.

First thanks to the wrestlers. There were a solid group that were there every second. There were also some there when they could and some showed up a few spots.

Next thanks to all the coaches. Really appreciate the time you give in and off the mat!

Next thanks to our big volunteers. We had tons of parents, cousins, nieces, fans, etc. we had so many parents give up soooo many of their time off these weekends.

Lastly a HUGE thanks to Andrea and Donny Slayton. Donny was in a table the entire time for all three weekends. Andrea coordinated, fed, and worked all three weekends start to finish. Without you two, we would be lost.

That being said, mark your calendars next year. We need more people to help so we don’t burnout.

The donation of time that everyone gave to the program, is unmeasurable and will allow to keep the program running.

We still need volunteers for tomorrow, Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30. This fundraiser helps the wrestlers raise funds for the upcoming season. By volunteering, even few hours of your time will help us make this fundraiser successful. And for those that need volunteer hours, this would be the perfect opportunity to get upwards of 20+ hours. Show time tomorrow is 8 am with last game at 8:10p and Sunday is 8 am with last game at 2:10p. Please text Andrea (number on the flyer) with the day and times you're able to assist.

Big weekend from you BHS wrestlers up here in enemy territory (Go Gators!). We finished 7th out of 15 teams after being seeded outside the top 10.

We only brought 11 BHS wrestlers out of the 14 weight classes. This HOMEGROWN group went a combined 54-25 in individual matches in the given duals.

We started 3-1 and lost to the eventual runner ups 38-36 with only 9 BHS wrestlers available. Went 1-3 losing some tight duals but overall the boys got better!

The following wrestlers earned gold all American:
Laine Slayton 8-0 (1 pin and 2 techs)
CJ Liddie 8-0 (3 pins and 4 techs)
Prince Fortuna 8-0 (4 pins and 1 tech)

Silver all American:
Braedon McGuigan 7-1 (4 pins)

Bronze:
Finn Buchanan 3-2

Copper:
Jeremy Kazanis (2 pins)

Big thanks to Coach Pankey, Max and Kiona for taking the boys up there. (Also thanks for Mr. Harkins driving kids home!)

Also huge thanks to all the parents who sacrificed not watching their boys while helping with the fundraiser. All you helped out with that, we thank you!

Lastly thanks for Jake the Snake for being an amazing mascot this weekend.

FYI for those following summer KO, we have half of our kids on Buchholz and half on Avalon WC. Go Cats

27 kids on the first day of summer followed by 29 on the second day of summer. All HOMEGROWN and getting better by the minute. Go Cats!
