Huntington Learning Center is a chain of educational service centers in the United States. Huntington is the oldest provider of supplemental educational services for primary and secondary students in the U.S since 1977.
This center is only located right next to the ColdStone Icecream shop in the Plaza Royale Shopping Center on W. Newberry Rd. and just minutes away from I-75 Interstate. The convenience for students and parents increases the opportunity to provide tutoring services to the Gainesville community including Newberry and Alachua. By assisting in providing quality education to its students.
The center offers academic tutoring services in reading, math, writing, phonics, vocabulary, spelling, study skills, subject-specific tutoring, and exam preparation. For all ages, non-readers work with a teacher on a one-to-one basis in order to ensure they receive the extra level of attention they require. Other basic skills students work with a teacher in a four-to-one setting in order to allow for a balance of individual attention and independent practice. We also specialize in helping high school students prepare for the SAT and ACT. We customize an individualized prom to help these students increase their test scores so they can get into the college of their dreams.
The center seeks to gain credibility for its services throughout the community by establishing rapport with the parents and the kids. With the center director and assistant director working hand in hand with the school's and the parents, the student's success is of paramount importance to the center.
