Flavet Fest was the best way to round out our Fall 2024 Welcome Week! We had an incredible time celebrating the start of the semester with you all. So thankful to see so many of you as we spent the night connecting our students with the local church.

Black light volleyball last night was electric- huge thanks to everyone who came out! But the party is not over yet – tonight is FLAVET FEST from 7 to 11 PM.

Join us for the biggest event of welcome week with food trucks, rock walls, a mechanical bull, a silent disco, and so much more!

Salary: $150/week
Hours: Part-time, salaried, approximately 10 hours/week

Supervisor: Senior Pastor
The First Baptist Church of Gainesville, Florida seeks a Media Ministry Coordinator who possesses a joyful relationship with Jesus Christ, is a skilled AV and Media technician, and who will become a collaborative, caring member of our staff team. This person will work primarily with our Music and Worship Coordinator to produce in-person and livestream worship services on Sunday mornings; upload recordings to our media platforms; and to coordinate the work of the media and sound team. This individual reports directly to the Senior Pastor.
Essential Functions of the Position
Recruit, manage, lead, and train the audio, visual, and live stream volunteers on Sunday mornings.
Coordinate the audio, visual, and live stream ministry on Sunday.
Set up and maintain broadcast equipment (cameras, switchers, recording devices)
Create weekly ProPresenter playlist for Sunday morning worship.
Manage video assets from sermons, events, and video shoots, organizing and backing up archives.
Edit, upload, and distribute weekly sermons and regular events
Manage FBC Gainesville social media
Lighting programming and management
When possible, be available for special events (for additional compensation)
Skills needed for the position
Knowledge of ProPresentor presentation software
Knowledge of sound systems, with sensitivity to music ministry excellence
Ability to edit footage in post-production
Working knowledge of video file formats
Working knowledge of social media platforms

Essential Functions of the Position
Serve as the Sunday morning coordinator/teacher – leading, managing and facilitating our Sunday morning youth ministries (6th – 12th grades).
Coordinate supply needs for ministry volunteers.
Recruit and work with volunteers to develop, lead, and manage special event ministries for teenagers and their parents.
Build a weekly, regular youth ministry rhythm of fun, discipleship, service and more fun.
Intentionally work with youth in their spiritual development including accepting Jesus as Savior (evangelism), learning the Bible (discipleship), and serving the community and world (missions).
Build healthy relationships with teenagers and their families both inside and outside the church in order to meet families where they are and grow a thriving youth ministry.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
