Incorporating play (in this case Tug) with Theo to help recondition his ecollar to being a positive as opposed to being a negative. When he first came to me, even putting his collar ON would cause him to completely shut down, so we are showing him that the stim is a positive thing that starts the game of tug! Overlaying a prior language that used to be poorly understood takes time to build a better association. By making it FUN and at very low levels we are able to show Theo that it is ALSO a gas pedal as opposed to only a correction.

Off leash beaching! Teach your pup to have value in YOU! There are other off leash dogs, barking dogs tethered to beach chairs and tons of people fishing on the beach. She couldn’t care less, solid obedience opens the world to both you and your dog! Teach neutrality… its the best thing you could ever do for your dog! An ecollar is a VALUABLE tool when everyone understands it. It allows peace of mind for the human and a check and balance system for the dog. Once you have understanding and clarity it’s just like a seatbelt. There if you need it.
