Following a visit to OLMA by our founder, Tricia, speaking at their sophomore class retreat this past April, we were recently blessed to have these young ladies from Our Lady of Mercy Academy volunteer this June at our center. We were so impressed with their work, they had great questions and such lovely manners. They are welcome back any time! Thank you for your good work ladies!

Tomorrow , Thursday June 6th, outdoor diaper drive collection at Jersey Shore Women’s Center! If it rains, we will move collections indoors.

When you arrive, you will see a white building called Blink. Blink is an eyelash salon. Drive straight behind their building to the back parking lot and you will see a taller blue/grey building. That’s us!

“Rita” lived her teenage years in foster care until she aged-out. At the age of 20, she is pregnant with her first baby due in early May…a little boy. She has a new job and is working very hard to get on her feet so she can parent her baby.

“Guadalupe” and her husband are a young couple at 22 years old. This is her first pregnancy and they are having twin boys. Finding employment is a challenge due to the language barrier. Although things haven’t been easy, they are determined to not give up and to be the best parents they can be for their babies.

“Yolanda” is in a difficult relationship. She was used by a man she thought loved her but, instead, used her for citizenship status. Her baby girl is due this spring. Her mother will be helping her to raise her baby.

“Tiffany” is pregnant with her first baby and receiving no support from the baby’s father and conditional support from her parents, with whom she is currently living. She is working hard to find employment. Her goal is to be self-sufficient and to live in her own apartment with her child. She is personally working on developing better boundaries.

We were invited to a beautiful baby shower at St. Joseph Catholic Church - Somers Point to celebrate life! There was cake and so many gifts!

Thank you to Father Jaromir, Karen Pells and the children of St Joseph Church and School who helped to coordinate this collection of baby items for our clients. The parishioners of St Joseph were so very generous.

On January 28, we had a lovely day with Sister Joelle, director of religious education at StDamien Parish, and her many students. We gathered in the hall behind St Francis Cabrini in Ocean City. Sister Joelle organized a beautiful day of prayer, learning and fun benefiting Jersey Shore Women’s Center. It was a full house of children with their parents/guardians celebrating the moms and babies! Our hearts are full. Thank you! 🙏🏻💕

The CPR class that we started in June seems to be one of the favorites. We think it is invaluable to our clients. The hope is that eventually every single one of our clients will complete this class.

The cost to us includes CPR card ($5) plus $20 for service totaling $25. We do not charge our clients of course but we do pay for an outside instructor. We are looking for sponsorship for our clients for $25 per client. See photos of most recent class!

Jersey Shore Women’s Center is launching our Winter Amazon wishlist just in time for CYBER MONDAY!

Our goal is to create different wishlists for each season to target essential items that are necessary for our clients.

While some things change with the seasons, the need for certain essential items remains constant. That's why, as always, we will continue to collect diapers, wipes, and baby formula – these essentials are always in high demand and greatly appreciated by the families we serve.

In the spirit of Christmas, we've also added a selection of "fun" themed items to the list. While not as essential as the basics, these special additions can bring smiles to the faces of children and families.

Fall Season Wishlist! | Amazon Gift List

Big thanks to Garden State Beer Company in Galloway and the Galloway library for collecting school supplies for our families this year! The children got a great start to the school year and we still have a little extra to help supplement throughout the rest of the school year. We appreciate the support of our neighbors!

Saint Damien Parish in Ocean City held a lovely ladies’ tea party with proceeds to benefit the Jersey Shore Women’s Center. We are so grateful for their support. So much fun!

Our organized and talented volunteer, Mary, made this beautiful Thanksgiving and Christmas clothing display for us 🦃🎄

Our clients always seem to really enjoy the holiday boutique displays 💕

Our volunteers jumped quickly into action on the day of this shower. Decorations came down and an in-person shower quickly switched to a drop-off shower after Mom called us with a change of plans. She let us know she was in labor on the day of her shower!

A beautiful, healthy baby boy was born !❤️🍼👶

3 small fake Christmas trees (consider our clients usually don’t have a lot of space)
