Omicron Delta Kappa at Stockton University

Congratulations to two of our Omicron Delta Kappa eboard members who placed during the 2018 Stockton University NAMS symposium!

Our Treasurer, Chris Bajada, and his team received honorable mentioned for his poster presentation, "Snake Fungal Disease is not Associated with Upregulation of Innate Immune Function in Pygmy Rattlesnakes (Sistrurus miliarius)."

Our President, Andrew Smythe, and his team received third place for his poster presentation, "Exploring Joint Kinematics in Alligator and Turkey Elbows: Implications for Predatory Dinosaur Forelimbs."

Congratulations to our member, Pratixa, who recently was named Student Leader of the Year as well as given the L.E.A.D. Award. We are very excited that she will be staying at Stockton and as an active member of our circle since she recently was accepted into Stockton's Master of Science in Communication Disorders program!!

Today we are celebrating our local founders day here at Stockton! We have now been an established circle of ODK for 12 years and each year we continue to grow and our members continue to demonstrate exceptional leadership both on & off campus. We are so proud of our members and how far our circle has come since we were founded in 2005!

Josh is a senior double majoring in Health Science & Business with a concentration Marketing. He plans on attending law school. Tom is a second year graduation student working toward his Masters in Business Administration. Both members are getting ready to graduate in May. Our circle is going to miss you both!

Meet Andrew, who was recently inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa this past fall. Andrew is a junior double majoring in Biology and Philosophy. Andrew is a member of SET, Water Watch, Relay for Life, Alternative Spring Break, Stockton's Philosophical Society, the Residence Hall Association, Orientation Leaders, Phi Sigma Tau Philosophy Honor Society AND he is a TA for the school of natural science and mathematics. To add to that list, he is also conducting research in lizard locomotion! You can usually find him working in the Student Development Office on campus. After graduation, Andrew would like to continue his studies by attending graduate school for Physical Therapy.

Kelsey & Kim are ODK members who have been extremely active in our circle as well as core members of our women's lacrosse team here at Stockton. They have been on the team since its inaugural season in 2014 when they were freshman. Kelsey & Kim are now both captains of the team and exemplify leadership both on and off the field. Kelsey has recently been accepted to graduate school for Occupational Therapy, while Kim was recently accepted into an accelerated BSN and MSN program for nursing!

Sabina Sullivan is a first year graduate student and has been an ODK member since Fall 2015. During her undergraduate career at Stockton, Sabina spent her spring breaks with Alternative Spring Break working with Habitat for Humanity. Sabina was also a TALONS member that volunteered her time during SOAR and Welcome Week to work with new students. Currently, Sabina spends most of her time at the Stockton University Speech and Hearing Clinic studying for her masters in communication disorders. Sabina is currently volunteering for Stockton's Get Fit, a health and wellness program for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Outside of campus, Sabina is a registered yoga teacher at our local studio Grow Yoga and can be found Fridays at noon leading the class.

to the time our Public Relations Chair, Kim, flew all the way to Switzerland to coach lacrosse. Kim has recently been named captain of our women's lacrosse team here at Stockton!

Congratulations to two of our members, Zach and Theresa for being recognized as Student Leaders of the Month! Theresa was voted Student Leader of the Month in November and Zach was voted Student Leader of the Month for December. So proud!
