3rd Grade travels to Japan! Konnichiwa, from the Land of the Rising Sun. Our last adventure landed us in Japan. In one station the students learned about origami and made Samurai paper hats. In another station, Jan (scissors) Ken (paper) Po (stone) aka Rock Paper Scissors was played. In the ‘museum’ , students viewed geographical and cultural information. A few items discussed were Mount Fuji, Kentucky Fried Chicken on Christmas, Anime, Pokemon, Sushi, Haiku, Children’s Day and Koi Nobori (Koi Flag). Mrs. Tandy also shared pictures and information from her brother, Kevin and family who are currently stationed in Japan. They also sent different flavors of Japanese Kit Kats and fun puzzle erasers for all the students. Dōmo arigatōgozaimasu - Thank you very much!
