Our Family Engagement Specialist did an amazing job putting together this exhibit to honor our deceased loved ones... Did you get to see it? Did you know that our Texas ACE office is relocating? Thank you Mrs. Deyon (our administrative assistant & ACE team) for putting this together despite the many things to do. Parker ACE students enjoy a music appreciation performance with the Galveston Symphony Orchestra!
One Friday during the Galveston ISD Texas ACE Summer Program in 2021, the talented Edward Salinas of the Galveston Symphony Orchestra presented a music appreciation performance to our summer students, and they were captivated. He presented several different instruments, showing how they could combine together to create amazing music.
Fast-forward to Spring 2022, to today, and we are thrilled that Mr. Salinas, or ‘Musical Mister E’ has begun a new series of interactive performances - coming to 5 of our after school programs - to continue spreading a love of live music to our students. Galveston Symphony Orchestra is working with Galveston ISD to offer ALL students the chance to enjoy a concert in their Spring Season for free with their family, and the hope is that these live music appreciation performances will spark an interest that students take home and share with their family, and that they remember for a long time to come.
