Our Story
We were founded in 1992 by Michael DeLorenzo and his daughter Lee DeLorenzo. United Asset Strategies is the natural successor of a brokerage approach to serving clients that began in 1972 by Michael DeLorenzo as he began his financial career in the estate planning division of a respected life insurance company; later expanding the practice to include pension and investment planning. In 1979 Lee joined her father in business and their clear visions for absolute independence and quest to provide unbiased advice had the duo breakaway and form their own firm.
Mr. DeLorenzo has since retired. Although the size of the company has increased substantially and the investment strategies evolved, many fundamental competencies remain the same. The firm continues to serve families, businesses, pensions and foundations - around the country including the Virgin Islands. His legacy will be everlasting as simple client courtesies such as returning phone calls promptly and wise business practices such as "take the time to do the job right the first time rather than having to do it over again" is adhered to every day.
