How to prevent: Brush 2-3x daily, floss 2x daily, use a fluoride mouth rinse, and maintain regular cleanings with your dentist.😎

RPE (Rapid Palatal Expander) are used to expand the roof of your mouth if it is too narrow. Typically used in Phase 1 treatment, but has been used in adults with narrow pallets.

Good Oral Hygiene✨: Patients should be brushing 2-3 times a day, using a fluoride mouth rinse, flossing at least once a day, and making sure every surface of the tooth is clean. Limiting amounts of sugar and soda. Maintaining regular check ups every six months with dentist.👍

Bad Oral Hygiene😭: Over indulgence in sugar and soda. Not flossing. Not brushing as instructed which results in swollen gums and food particles left around brackets. Could result in plaque build up, cavities, permanent bad breath, gum disease, and decalcification. 👎

It is extremely important to maintain proper oral care when wearing braces. Braces and Invisalign are used to enhance the smile and make it even more beautiful. That is why brushing and flossing are so necessary even more so with orthodontic appliances. Help us keep your smile squeaky clean.😁

It is very important to brush once in the morning, once at night, and after every snack when wearing orthodontic appliances. Make sure you're using a soft bristle toothbrush and a fluoride toothpaste.🥳

We recommend putting your rubber bands on in the morning after you brush, changing them after you eat lunch, then again after dinner. 🤩

Rubber band wear is essential to correcting your bite and requires patient cooperation. 👍

Remember to take your rubber bands out when you brush your teeth and when you're eating and to always wear them as instructed by your orthodontist.😁
