something you may not know about me (or maybe you do!) is we are a huge sports family! I was raised watching football in the fall and baseball in the spring. My husband loves basketball. Both my kids play competitive soccer and my son also plays competitive baseball. To say we enjoy sports is an understatement 🤣

You may remember back in April I took a weekend trip to Corpus Christi to learn from my favorite mentor, Captured by Claudia. I have already done several newborn mentorship’s with her but decided to switch it up and take mentor in maternity. I have been wanting to improve on my studio maternity posing, lighting, etc but I could not have imagined that I would walk away with as much learning as I did that weekend. I cannot WAIT to use what I learned on my future studio maternity sessions!

I always love when mama's (and dad's!) ask for photos with their newborns. Post partum is definitely not the most glamorous feeling 😆 and you're probably not feeling "camera ready". You just had a baby, you're probably still feeling a little pregnant and puffy, and probably a little sleep deprived 🥱. Trust me...I totally get it. I've been there myself...twice. Now that mine are older, I wish I had photos of us together when they were that little. I wish I had asked people to take photos of me with my babies.

When we do parent photos, I make sure I get you and your sweet baby at the most flattering angles so we're focusing on that beautiful bond. I walk you through all the posing from your hands to your hair. That new mama glow is REAL and I love to capture it. Trust me when I say you won't regret having these memories years on down the road. ❤️
