Willow House Coffee

Today was one of those days you have to pinch yourself. This is a cupping table at holding the 19 winning coffees from These Rwandan coffees will be auctioned off next month and we had the opportunity to taste them today. They are all the same coffee variety and there are several processing methods represented here. The range of flavor profiles was astounding and they were all so clean and crisp. These opportunities are unheard of and I feel honored to have been there. Thank you for the education and opportunity!

Fun fact: My intro to specialty coffee was a company that works almost exclusively with Rwandan coffees. has been doing beautiful work in reconciliation and collaboration with farmers.

What a strange feeling for us these past 3 weeks, without our trailer. It feels like our coffee business is over, as we sit in a pause on time. Although our coffee business is FAR from over, we are practicing patience for what’s next to unfold. Know that we have somethings in the works and are brewing up Willow House’s next great adventure! Until we finalize all the details, we thank you for hanging in there with us and following along. We will for sure update everyone here, once we have more to share.

For now, we are enjoying catching up, planning our wedding, preparing our business, getting sleep and soaking in more of Summer! 🌴 ☀️ 🥤

Yesterday we introduced a summertime tea special and boy was it a hit! Our peach tea starts with a cold brew of Amber Assam black tea and we add a little peach juice, a touch of sweetener, and some optional fresh mint (you def want the mint too). It’s Super refreshing for the dog days of summer and your only complaint will be that we only offer 16oz cups! See you soon!

We are setting up in the Park South District at the corner parking lot where Lake Wheeler and South Saunders meet. (It’s the old Kwiklean Cleaners building)

Look for the big brown coffee flag which will be out on the corner for all to see. We are SUPER excited to set up here and serve more of the Raleigh downtown area. We will have chairs and a table so you can get comfortable and stay awhile!

EXCITING OPPORTUNITY:
Hi friends! It’s been 1 full year with our trailer and learning what a business could even begin to look like for us. We have big dreams for our Willow House Coffee shop! Buying the trailer was just the first step. Life seems to be nudging us to take some even bigger steps this year and as scary as that may be, we are remembering that life is short and we can do hard things. The universe continues to bring us opportunities that we could never have expected. We are humbled by life’s guidance and support! Just the other day, Bryan and I both sat in tears by it all.

In order to take steps toward what’s next, we will sadly need to say good bye to this beautiful trailer. With so many people oooo-ing and ahhh-ing over the design of our mobile coffee shop and many even sharing how they’d always wanted to open a coffee cart, we hope that we can bring someone else’s dreams to a reality! The purchase of our business includes (but not limited to):

-The coffee trailer (mobile business with removal of our logo).
Trailer features:
•Onboard water and greywater
•Water pump
•Hot water heater
•3 compartment sink
•Hand wash sink
•Ice well with drain

-Quality made coffee equipment
-Inverter generator (less than 1 year old)
-50amp power cables and converter plug
-Folding table and chairs
-Coffee roadside flag
-Undercounter fridge
-Folding menu board
-A starter supply of paper goods and syrups
-All contacts for events, pop-ups, etc.

This can be sold as a turn key business should someone desire it. 🔑
Alternatively, these trailers can be used for a plethora of other endless unique small business ideas (examples: plant or flower shop, smoothie bar, wine/beer/liquor bar, book store, bakery)

Owning a small business has led us down so many new paths and a wildly unknown adventure of learning. We had so much fun at Bliss Boogie festival this last weekend. We met the most delightful humans and were honored to hear of the deeply touching experiences they were having during the festival. Despite the freezing nighttime temperatures, many attendees camped and took in the fullness of the beautiful Shakori land.

Today is the day! Bliss Boogie day 1 has begun!

Come on out to the Shakori hills, 72 acres for an epic, one of a kind first time festival in the Triangle area. is a 3 day long weekend festival full of ✨ MAGIC, AUTHENTICITY, BLISS, LOVE, DANCE, JOY, LEARNING AND EXPLORATION. ✨

For those who don’t already know, we set out on this whole Willow House, coffee adventure, with the full intention to reduce waste as much as possible. All of our customer facing paper products (spoons, straws, napkins, cups, lids, etc.) are completely compostable. We have a much bigger vision for how we can give back, recycle and reuse as a coffee company. And as we grow, we can’t wait to put all of them into action. 💪🏼

For those interested, we have begun offering our used coffee grounds to anyone who would like them, for FREE!

Just stop by and pick them up during hours. Depending on the amount of coffee, we have served, we might have A LOT for you. 😊

As much as we do not want to miss a weekend with you all, we need to.
For about a year now, we have been working full time jobs and building the business from scratch. We did all of our own legal work to register the business. Designed and outfit our trailer. Chased down opportunities to serve all over the triangle. Built relationships with local businesses to provide you with real, local, fresh ingredients. And so much more.

All while raising three children.

We are tired. So very tired. And to be honest, this week we cracked. Mentally, physically, and emotionally.

So, in order to serve you well, we are taking a weekend to relax, take a day off, and reconnect. We want to be around, building community and sharing our love with you, for a long time. This will help us do that.

We can’t wait to see you December 16th.

On espresso and drip, you’ll find our go-to blend, The Natural. It’s a little fruity but balances well with rich notes we all love from coffee.

On pour over is one that I’ve been so excited to try with you all. This is a blend of coffees from Costa Rica and Colombia. The unique and experimental processing methods the producers use bring a warmth and boozy feeling to the coffee. Read more on their website! If it’s a hit with our customers, we’ll try it on espresso next!
