CALLING ALL HOME SCHOOLERS! 🛼🛼🛼

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH, at our GASTONIA LOCATION, we will be hosting our next STEM Lesson for any Home Schooler from K TO 8TH GRADE LEVELS. This educational class will show the “Science of Rollerskating” to your students with MOTION & RINK DESIGN. This group class format will start promptly at 10am and all PRE-REGISTERED we ask to arrive at 9:45am to check in and be grouped accordingly.

The $15/student fee includes the educational portion of this class(45mins), admission and rental for the Home School Skate which lasts until 2pm!

Yesterday, we celebrated the man, the myth, the legend... our skate ambassador Larry! 🎉

Larry’s passion for skating is contagious. He’s not just an amazing skater, he’s an inspiration to everyone who’s ever laced up a pair of skates at our Gastonia location. 🙌

From teaching kids their first tentative glides to helping adults rediscover the joy of rolling, Larry’s dedication to sharing the magic of rolling is unmatched.

We're incredibly grateful for the amazing team who kept the good times rolling at Kate's Skating Rink this summer! They worked tirelessly to make sure everyone had a blast, and we want to shine a spotlight on a few of these superstars!🙌🛼

First up, we want to give a massive shoutout to Eli. He works at our Gastonia location! 🛼
He’s been a rockstar all summer (and always, really!). Eli is one of those employees you can always count on – dependable, responsible, and always ready to take on something new and exciting. If you see him at the rink, be sure to say hi and thank him for all his hard work!

A little about Eli .. he’s is a 17-year-old student at Forestview High School. In his free time, he loves playing sports with his friends, video games, and of course, skating!

Some words from Eli. “I’ve been working at Kate's for about a year and 3 months now, and it's been awesome. The best part is definitely the people – both customers and staff have been so welcoming and friendly. It's a great environment for a first job, and I especially appreciate how flexible they are with my schedule during the school year. My favorite movie franchise is Pirates of the Caribbean”.
