Cross Trail Outfitters Catawba River Basin
Cross Trail Outfitters is a Christian based hunting and fishing club for boys. This chapter serves the greater Gaston County area of North Carolina.
Mike is one of our most committed volunteers. He means the world to all of us. All of our youth members look at him as a paw paw like figure. When we go on outings and Mike is involved there is never extra room in the truck because everyone loves doing life with Mike.
Please keep him in your prayers and if you can give to help his family during this time we know you will be blessed!

Tonight is Family Night and you don’t want to miss out! It’s time for our annual pig pickin. Last night we buried a whole hog in a pit of red hot coals to slow cook for about 20 hours. It is going to be some kind of good.
The fun starts at 6:00 at 453 Cramerton Rd, Gastonia.
Bring your lawn chair and fishing rod!
Our SC deer season is off to a great start. We have had 2 first ever deer harvest and 4 first bucks in 9 days. A few others have been blessed to add some meat to the freezer. It’s been a ton of fun in the woods, but our time together around the campfire has been the best.
We are thankful for Gods blessings, our landowners, sponsors, and volunteers. All you do for us is making a difference.
We are 2 days away from our youth benefit. Check out the games and prizes. We also have over 30 bucket raffles with great prizes and lots of giveaways.
The fun starts Saturday at 5:00 2315 Union Rd in Gastonia.
We can’t do this event without our sponsors. If you are looking for a good place to give where your gift will be used in your community this is it, and it’s a super fun way to spend an evening out.
Let us know if you would like to sponsor a table.
We have the best sponsors that truly believe in what we do, and always have our back. We owe a huge thanks to AJ’s for being there for us since we started our chapter in 2015. Y’all go see AJ for your landscape supplies. He’s got what you need.
The winner of our little contest of naming the location of one of our Youth Benefit banners is Bethany Sawyer Lavender! Congratulations Bethany!
You won $100 in raffle tickets for our upcoming event.
A big thanks to Johnson Insurance Group, Inc. for helping us spread the word with our banner in their yard.
Just a taste of what we do. “Guiding the next generation to Christ through the outdoors”.
Another great outdoor industry partner that has blessed us over the years with their support is Weatherby Inc.. We are excited to have a few Weatherbys on the way which we will go home with some lucky winners at our benefit on September 21st. You don’t want to miss this great evening and the opportunity to hang out with the legendary Hank Parker. Let us know if you need tickets. They are only $25 each.
It looks like Yeti threw up on our porch😂. We are digging the new Yeti gear showing up for our youth benefit on September 21st. The Load Out GoBox is pretty nifty, and new water bottles and tumblers are always nice to get.
We are grateful for our conservation partners like YETI and all they do to help us get more kids outdoors.
A lot of iron working in these woods today. We are super thankful for our volunteers and all they do for our youth.
As if we aren’t busy enough planning our annual benefit fundraiser today is our annual workday where we spend some time getting ready for deer season.
No good work day starts right without a good breakfast!
Who can guess where this banner is located in Gastonia? If you know the location enter your guess in the comments. All correct comments will be entered for a drawing to win $100 in raffle tickets at our benefit on Sept 21. Winner will be drawn on Friday September 6th.

We are always excited about getting new Henry’s for our benefit. You have a chance of winning one by purchasing a ticket to the event.
We are thankful for Henry Repeating Arms and their partnership with us.
Tonight is our monthly family night and it’s one you don’t want to miss. We have been cooking a pig for over 14 hours underground in a Hawaiian style imu. It’s going to be a throw down to remember so we hope to see you there.

We just wrapped up opening weekend for rifle hunting in SC. 10 of our boys enjoyed a weekend of camping and deer hunting. We had a couple of tough breaks, but everything ended on a high as we recovered this 8 pointer late last night.
If you want to have a little fun go into a restaurant at 9:30 at night with a bunch of boys in camo and face paint pumped up from tracking a deer in the dark😂. It was quite the show. We are proud of all these boys. They love the outdoors and they love Jesus even more.
