Renovations are underway at the Danada House! Check out this video for a behind-the-scenes look at how Allen+Pepa, Featherstone, and the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County are working together to deliver a successful project.
Originally built in 1939, this beautiful estate is now a popular wedding venue within the scenic Danada Forest Preserve. Renovations to the building began in April to renew and restore this historic building.
The primary goals of the project include:
• Repairing and replacing aging materials
• Improving building accessibility with new ramps and a lift
• Improving energy efficiency with new lighting and insulation
• Improving safety with integrated fire protection and detection
• Improving function with surgical interior spatial reconfiguration
When complete, the building will be more functional and beautiful for the venue operators and guests. It will also be easier for the Forest Preserve District to maintain, preserving the building’s function and beauty for years to come.

PROJECT IN ACTION AT ART HISTORY BREWING
Eric Pepa recently had fun watching the Geotech company do soil borings at the new Art History Brewing warehouse project in Geneva. We are testing the strength of the soil in order to design new concrete slab floors where the fermentation and storage tanks are going. These are huge...80 barrel tanks, weighing about 30,000 lbs. each when completely filled. Stay tuned to watch this project continue to unfold.
