With the solar eclipse this afternoon, we wanted to send out a friendly reminder that sun rays are harmful to your eyes and you should not look directly at the sun without the appropriate protection. Some information for viewing the solar eclipse safely can be found here, however Dr. Christ advises never to look at the sun. January is glaucoma awareness month! Glaucoma is a group of conditions that damage the optic nerve and can lead to blindness. There are no symptoms of glaucoma, so it is important to get an eye exam annually check for signs of glaucoma.
